UCAS is the organisation responsible for managing applications for admission to higher education courses in the UK. You can apply to 5 different universities by filling just one set of forms, thereby giving you the obvious advantage of not having to make separate applications to each university, which can be a cumbersome process.
Before filling your UCAS application, you need to make a decision on the course you wish to undertake, as well as a choice of 5 U.K. universities where you would like to apply for admission. These are important decisions and should be made carefully. Please feel free to walk into any Uniserv office in East Africa for expert guidance on choice of career and university.
Normally, you would fill your UCAS application through your school, where you have a capable and experienced careers teacher. You may also fill your application at Uniserv, which is a registered UCAS centre.
Based on the information in your application, as well as your predicted grades, the universities will then make conditional offers to you, stipulating the grades you would be required to obtain in your final exams to secure a place. At this stage, you would be asked to narrow down your choice from 5 to 2 universities (firm and insurance choices). This is a difficult decision, and you are welcome to seek guidance from Uniserv’s team of experts.
When your results are out, and you achieve the required grades, you will automatically receive an unconditional offer from your firm-choice university. This unconditional offer letter forms part of the requirements for a student visa to the U.K.
Should you fail to obtain the required grades, do not despair. Uniserv will leave no stone unturned to facilitate your entry into another fine university offering the same course.
