Hungarian Government Scholarship Programme for Developing Countries, 2017-2018
Hungary combines many of the attractions of both Central and Eastern Europe. Hungary is a landlocked country, sharing borders with Austria, Croatia, Romania, Serbia Slovakia, Slovenia and Ukraine. Its capital Budapest, offers architectural and cultural delights and is one of the largest cities in European Union. Though relatively small, Hungary has much to offer visitors, from so many natural and manmade attractions such as the vineyard-covered hills and historic castles.
Hungary is committed to becoming a higher education hub. The relatively low living costs and a strong focus on internationalization makes Hungary’s popularity as a study destination continue to grow. Universities in Hungary are welcoming growing numbers of international students, both on exchange programs and for full degrees, and are increasingly offering courses taught in languages other than Hungarian, most commonly English.
International students are invited to apply for Hungarian Government Scholarship to undertake Master of Science degree courses (MSc) at one of the participating universities. The scholarship will cover application and tuition fees throughout the study period, basic books and notes, dormitory accommodation and subsistence costs.
The main objective is to lead international efforts to defeat hunger, contributing to an expanding world economy by promoting sustainable rural development with emphasis on the poorest farmers, promoting food production and self-reliance, and raising nutrition levels.
